 .....Such an ugly face to greet the morning with but it's what I think of when I see the word "HI" in that screen. When I see "hi" I used to think of an informal greeting, a nicety. Ain't nothing nice about HI.

Shake it off...

Good morning!
All is going to be good here today. We're off to a rocky start, she's high, but I've cut her feed portion so she doesn't have to wait so long to start dropping. I will check her at +1.5 and be sure she's not on a fast slide and continue to feed her and maybe keep some control over her numbers. Maybe. At least that's the new plan, Stan; (and she's not being coy, Roy; she's going to set herself free! Channeling some Paul Simon this morning...)

Zoe's urine sample was an overflowing success. The vet's office has probably never had so much urine returned to them in one sample. She's such a little overachiever! Makes this mama bean proud. :joyful:

Happy vines of healing and patience sent to all!

yesterday

I agree. Seeing HI come up on the monitor screen is enough to spoil ones morning. And there is nothing you can do about it. It is so frustrating. Hope Zoey comes down soon for you.

I'm hoping to stop the drop here in yellows so maybe she'll flatten out and the bounce won't be as high. Fed her ** (two servings) of her food. The expectation is that she won't drop more than another 40 or 50 points and then hang out there when I feed her the last portion around +6 to carry her through to PMPS. ...of course, now that it's out there she'll do her best to make me look silly for even daring to have a thought. I'm on to her game ... figuring out how to win is the challenge.

Zoey, Zoey, Zoey .... boy, she plays to win. I thought at +9.5 I could call the game and declare the victory, having kept her in the 200s and not going blue. She was at bg 245, on the upside of her nadir, numbers were already trending up, PLUS I fed her which should have kicked it up another 30 points or so here at the end. BUT NO... she rallied and sunk almost 100 points just to prove that she still does what she wants, when she wants. (smh). Brat cat.

I went ahead and fed and shot but fed the entire *** (3) servings on the front end so I would load her up before the shot. I'll check her in about an hour to make sure she's not still trending down. She's on some new Cushex Drops-S supplements (vet okay'd) and part of their claim is that it helps stabilize BGs in Cushing's. (Could it be true?) Maybe that's what's having an influence since that last +9.5 meal had 3 drops in it. New stuff so we'll just keep an eye on it tonight. I've got a ton of work to do on the computer (have apparently been playing Dr. Google too much lately 'cause I'm getting backed up) so I took a nap earlier while I could and will work through the night until I'm caught up. I've already given Zoe the heads up that I'll have my eye on her.

Oh that made me laugh! :p:p:p Many paws crossed on the results and that you get them quickly.

Good to see Zoey came down to blues after the meter greeting you this morning. I hate meters with salutations.

Oh Zoey - are you going for an award for every color on the chart all in the same day? Nice recovery after that greeting on the meter this morning - I think we all hate those! Hopefully she'll stay level for you tonight and not try any dramatic diving, though as it sounds as though you're heading for a late night anyway, you'll be able to catch her at any of her little tricks if she tries! ;)
