AMPS 157
Sheba had a good evening last night and ate all her food. I think she was coming down off a bounce after that big drop from 2 days ago. Anyway I am so pleased to see that good AMPS... It looks so much better in our numbers......8.7 :)
And her appetite seems to have returned (anti jinx). She is asking for food again and happy to eat her normal diet of raw kangaroo.
I gave her Temgesic yesterday at midday but nil since, so I might see how she goes without it ........she seems fine this morning....and back to her usual impatient self when it comes to food......it is so good to see that trait again!!:cat: And she is moving around freely again ....not staying in her bed.
Thank you everyone who posted with advice, support and vines while she was sick......it makes such a difference knowing everyone was there :bighug:

It's great to hear Sheba is feeling better, Bron!!

I haven't been commenting much the last few days but I have been reading...you must be so relieved that she's acting more like herself!

That 157 don't look bad either!!

Thanks Elise, Carla and Chris.
Yes I am very happy to have my demanding, hungry and impatient pussy cat back again. Crossing my fingers she keeps OK

Thanks Voula, Serryn, Peg and Mary Ann for all your support. It means a lot to me.
Gave a tiny drop honey at +4 113 to slow the drop.
+5 97
It is soooo good to see these lower numbers again!

Woot!! Hooray for Sheba!!! So glad to hear she's eating and look at that- Green!! :D:D

p.s. Not to be a party pooper, but keep an eye out, pancreatitis has an awful way of flaring up and so I hope you have a good supply of the supportive meds, bupe and anti nausea meds on hand? I slacked off on the bupe and cerenia and today wasn't a very good day for Tiger.

Thanks for the warning. I have bupe but not cerenia.....wasn't able to get the vet to give it to me...long story. I have just send him/her a copy of ondansetron meds....they were not using it. Hope they will on future. A lot of the meds are rediculously expensive out here and vets don't carry them.
I am sorry Tiger is not having a good day. :bighug:To you and Tiger

Thanks Bron, my vet was hesitant to write the script for ondansetron as well. It is for humans afterall, but she is pretty good to me. On the other hand, I have heard of some vets who don't even know that cerenia can be given to cats, because it is actually meant for dogs. For cats, we have to cut the 16mg pill into quarters.

Yes, I have heard that meds are quite pricey in Oz, can you order on line? Thriving Pets is reasonable, so I am told?

So happy to hear your news on Sheba Bron, you must be so pleased to have her back to her old self, well done for your perseverance. Hugs to you both :bighug:

Hi @Tiger and Ruth
My vet gave Sheba IMI cerenia but they don't carry the oral .......they would probably get it in for me but it is expensive. The ondansetron they thought was only for chemo pts but Rhiannon said that was old school thoughts.
@Voula sent me a link to it yesterday saying otherwise and I sent it off to the vet. I heard back a little while ago and they are more interested in it now...they said the site is usually up to date so will go with the info. So I am really pleased with that.
Overseas companies are not allowed to send most animal meds into Aust

Thanks @suki & crystal .........I am really pleased. So good to have back my demanding, hungry, impatient little treasure. She is happy to go off for the day once she has what she thinks is her due, but until then, she is demanding.:joyful:
