+2 171

So will probably give her another 7uR at PMPS if she is still surfing around the same numbers.

Well, it's the hottest day of the year so far, 42 degrees in the shade under our terrace at 16.00. I put the thermometer out on the pool wall and left it in the sun for about 5 minutes, it went off the scale at 50. To say we are melting is a bit of an understatement. It's just unbearable for us all, in and out the pool to cool off, but that's now 29 degrees so not that refreshing, dog has been hosed off a couple of times and the cats are just lifeless. Luckily I've found where Crystal is hiding and I can get to her fairly easily to test. It's meant to be a little cooler tomorrow at 36 but we have about a week of these high temperatures forecast:(

Went into town very early to collect the 100ml syringes I ordered - guess what, they had ordered exactly the same ones I already have :banghead:, something was lost in translation but I did make it clear that I wanted 100ml but there was some confusion over the length of the needle and I said I preferred the short 8mm ones, so that's where the confusion arose I think. Anyway, after a long discussion they said they couldn't get the 100ml syringes with a short needle and to try my vet, which I will do next time she is in the surgery. In the meantime I'll look on ebay..... very frustrating.

Vines and wishes to all

Nice to see Crystal back in the blue today. Keeping fingers crossed that it will continue.
I hope you can get some relief form the heat soon. It seems like a lot of folks on here are getting some really hot weather. So far the weather has been nice here in Maine. A few sunny days in the 70's and then some rain. We will probably get our turn at the hot weather soon.

So sorry to hear about the confusion with the syringes. I'll bet it is very frustrating for you, especially when you are trying to make a change to make it easier for Crystal.
At least Crystal's numbers are looking better.:cat:
Try to stay cool, I bet that swimming pool helps a lot!

How frustrating it must be for you, Suki, to not get the syringes you ordered :( Hope you are able to find what you are looking for soon. Unbelievable temperatures -- I feel for you and your furry family. Sorry to hear that you won`t be getting a reprieve from the heat anytime soon.
Nice to see the blues on Crystal`s SS.

thanks Peg, Andrea and Lori for checking in. Crystal is surfing nicely at +2, probably gone too far in the other direction now and will end up staying up to test her! Still very hot, just like when you open the oven door and get that blast of hot air, dropped to about 36 now at 20.00, poor little furry friends, Bolly's just had another hosing down but don't think the cats would really appreciate it.

Just read about the fires in California, hope all our members and their families in that area are safe and out of harm's way, stay safe :bighug:

Interesting, matching bookend preshots today. And different responses to the same amount of R. I hope she doesn't keep you up too late tonight.

I've misted Neko before in the heat, or at least dampened the top of her head- she seemed to not mind it. That heat sounds miserable. Makes ours sound almost tolerable in comparison.

Bummer on the syringes. Good luck finding something on line. Are their no diabetic supply websites there?

There are fires everywhere on this continent. :( There are some north of Lori/Lulu that are blanketing the next province with smoke.

that sounds a good idea, I might give it a try. Also perhaps some cool water on their paws.

Just taken a +4 and she's now at 140 - you can stop there Crystal, that will be fine for tonight I don't have the energy to stay up too late.

I really should not moan about the the heat when others are having life threathening fires. The weather worldwide seems all over the place lately, praying for rain to help on the West Coast.

180 at AMPS so a nice blue surf o/n. More of the same please Crystal. Gave her the 7uR dose that seems to be working (antijinx)

We had a drop of rain o/n but nothing to really aid the plants so off to water the garden before the sun comes up.

Yippee! Better numbers from Miss Crystal today. Hope it continues.
How frustrating about the syringes. Hope you can source some from somewhere.
