That was a blue blip yesterday and Crystal is showing no signs of returning there .... I think the R will have to come out to point her in the right direction. Out for dinner tonight so will have to leave it until tomorrow morning. Still hot today but high 20's which is much more pleasant and a nice breeze. Couldn't find Crystal for her test but eventually found her deep in the shubbery, a white paw gave her away. Just been wrestling with Bolly trying to get his meds down him, he just locks his jaw now and refuses to eat the ham with the hidden pill, all very frustrating. I think I will just ground the tablets up and sprinkle it in with his gravy tonight.

Vines and wishes to all in need today.

Good luck and results with the R tomorrow.

Love the little paw sticking out of the bushes giving away her hiding spot. Like the cats here hiding under the couch...save for a tail sticking out.

So lucky. My dog eats anything, everything. Including a fistful of pills. Oh, and other not-to-be-mentioned things!

@pollydoodle , yeah Marilyn, Bolly will also investigate the LB for treats sometimes, dogs do really have some grim habits don't they. Had a bit more success with a pill pushed into a piece of croissant, well he is French after all!

Hi Suzanne, Andrea and Peg, just got home and Crystal is exactly the same as at PMPS at 250. I'm bringing out the heavy guns tomorrow morning, aka the R insulin to see if this shifts her to more agreeable numbers. See you in the morning, night night zzzzzz

@Bron and Sheba Thanks Bron, I did! 130, well another suprise. Looks like the threat of using the R worked but didn't give it to her as not sure whether she was still going down. Should have stalled a bit but, by time I was messing about with the others, she was actually eating when I tested (twice!) I'll test her again at +1.

Lovely surprise this morning! Paws crossed for a blue surf this time.

When I was in the pet food store yesterday, there were packages of (frozen) raw chicken hearts, that were labelled as natural pill pockets for dogs. I think I'd prefer croissant too! Or maybe just plain butter and dispense with the little bit of wheat involved. ;)

Yum, a croissant and some of that ham inside it...hmmm, time for shopping..

Think Blue Crystal!! As for your Bolly, I wonder if the pill stuffed into cheese might work better than sandwich meat? Little more appetizing than stuffing it into chicken liver?

hehehe do i see an amps 130? am i on the right spreadsheet? must be that Crystal heard the threat of R coming out and she's decided to show you she doesn't need it!

@julie & punkin (ga) you are indeed on the right ss, I did a double test as I couldn't believe it either.

I'm with you Rhiannon on the chicken hearts, just don't think I could touch them Wendy, I can't stand offal although I do buy liver for Bolly but can't touch it, straight out the packet into the pan.

@Tiger and Ruth , Ruth you should try brie and ham in a croissant and then pop in the microwave until the cheese just melts, delicious, but not incredibly healthy!

I cut up raw chicken hearts every day for Sheba. They are fine to touch ...quite firm... Not slithery like liver is. I can buy a pkt of about 50 fresh chicken hearts for 2 dollars. I freeze them and get out each day.
