Yesterday, completely forgettable bounce. No recap - go back on the link if you want to see the ugly numbers.

Sometime overnight, Neko did a course correction. But even better, this bean got a nice long sleep. :) Both Neko and I are now much better prepared for the day. She's wolfed her lamb (one of the lower P fuds) and almost snagged some more from Theo - until I grabbed her. Once he'd finished in peace I let Neko have the crumbs.

We had a good acupressure session and later today is acupuncture vetty day. I was doing videos of Neko walking yesterday as vetty wants to compare with last year. Neko can really hustle when she's chasing treats! I also want to review labs with her to see what her take are on things. Regular vet wasn't worried about the lab results, as they could be a one off. I'll do b/w again in 30 days to see if it's the same or a glitch.

OT: DH's new vehicle has arrived at the dealer. I will be so happy to get my car back to myself. :):)

The adventures of Ms. Neko never fail to put a smile on my face :). Fingers and paws crossed for good results on the retest.

Glad Neko is getting better numbers today. At least you were able to sleep last night. I hope your second opinion turns out well.

I think there must have been something in the water yesterday to make all the kitties go up.
They seem to be conforming today
Maybe they have a club going and have a plan!

Not a fabulous day, but at least she avoided THAT floor. Bean is feeling early stages of an itchy trigger finger.

Neko had a really good visit with the acupuncture vetty. She was very engaged and walking around while we were talking before treatment. Dr. Sue got to see her mobility. Later I showed her some video I shot yesterday and the ones from last summer before she started acupuncture. Definitely a positive difference! A lot less humpy backed too and no longer "walking on eggshells". We also talked about the blood tests and her first question was "have you considered Azodyl". So thanks to @Marje and Gracie , I was able to have an intelligent conversation about that. :) Her comment was that it doesn't help all cats, but those that it does, it helps a lot. So we are going to try it and see what it does. I asked regular vetty about it yesterday, and she was OK with trying it. And most interestingly enough, it was actually cheaper than buying on line! Mostly because their price was reasonable and because it needs to stay cool, it has to ship with a cool pack which adds around $25 to the cost. We also talked about low phos raw foods and she said "venison and kangaroo". I swear I heard Theo cheering in the background, those are his favorites.

Elise, Liz, Suki, Lori, Carla, Peg, Bron - She's not where I want to be, but better. She probably did a big drop last night and at least she's back in the blues again. I completely forgot about asking the acupuncture vet about the labs values that were out of whack, but she also didn't comment on them.

I'm glad you had a good visit with Dr. Sue today. I know you have a lot of confidence in her. Paws crossed that Azodyl will work for Neko. It can't hurt her...only your pocketbook ;). It's good you could get it at a discount because it is expensive to order....which I failed to tell you:rolleyes::eek::rolleyes:

Come on Neko....Soul Sista is throwing down the :D challenge!

Oh dear, Neko, dosecrease threat is in the air. Better hustle.

Interesting that you could get the Azodyl cheaper from the vet. I found it to be almost half as much online as at the vet, but perhaps the difference is that you are in Canada. I hope it helps Neko. We haven't determined whether it is helping Harvey yet.

expensive meds... welcome to my world...

I like the hustle...

Great that Neko's mobility has improved so much after a year of acupuncture. Better numbers today. Rusty: listen up!

Good luck with the new medicine. We'll all be watching.

Have a good night's sleep, Wendy,

I mean to catch up last weekend, but I couldn't as I had a lot of chores/shopping to do (including Korna, thank you for the info!) and ended up with headaches, and I totally missed Neko's B/W condo.
I quickly went back a few condos. I'm sorry about Neko's CKD, but it sounds like an early stage. Ginger was diagnosed with CKD years ago, and she's been stable.
I am actually quite surprised how it hasn't gotten any worse even though I'm not doing anything in particular except switching her raw food formula to low phosphorus.
Lucy was on Azodyl, and I think it helped. I didn't really have a chance to see if it did anything to her blood values because I started it in spring time and she passed in summer, but while she was on it and before she started to decline sharply, I believe it made her feel better. I think her mood and appetite improved.
Scheduling was a little bit hard because I wanted to give it to her on an empty stomach for an optimal result, and I could only squeeze that in at 4am and 4pm.
Good luck and I hope it helps Neko!
(I may call you sometime soon if that's OK, just to talk and check how you all are doing!)

Another icky PMPS - so I pulled the trigger. Any dose where Neko sees pinks is not the right dose anyway. Just so weird that a week and a half ago she saw green after 18 hours on a smaller dose, and now - nada.

Marje, Tricia, Rhiannon, Ella, Andrea, Mariko - I think the Durlactin has also really helped Neko's mobility lately, so it's a bunch of things together that seem to be working. Azodyl ain't cheap but after paying for SRT, and regular buprenorphine, Duralactin, benazapril (even higher cost than Adozyl), and acupuncture, it's percentage wise not that much more expensive.:eek:
@mariko - please call - I do want to chat. I've started feeding Neko Azodyl at her afternoon snack, when she gets about a tsp of food, and I can do the same time in the AM the mornings I get up for rowing.
