yesterday's all blues

A nice flat day in blue again for Crystal (if you ignore the blip at +4.5) Would ideally like to see her in low blues so gave her a 0.5u increase in the R insulin to 14.5u at PMPS, just to see if it will make a little difference. Good day for Crystal, hot again so hanging out in the shade, but came to visit me for a quick head rub every time I popped out to the garden with yet another load of washing.

OT: DH had a bit of a shock when he loaded up our old run-around-to the tip/vet car, which we don't use very often, to go to the tip and found a nest of wasps have made their home somewhere under the back wheel - as he's paranoid about all things buzzy (and we have some very large hornets here) he was far from happy driving off with a few stragglers flying after him! We are waiting until dark when they are supposedly asleep and then sneak up on them and will give it a good spraying ..... tomorrow's post will probably include one or other of us being stung!

Vines and wishes to all those in need.

Good luck with the dose crease. Don't blame DH for being paranoid about wasps. When the sting they hurt.:(

There goes Crystal - sailing the ocean blue. Lovely as usual.

Yikes on the wasps! I really swell up badly with a wasp bite - I'd worry too. Paws crossed the de-wasping goes smoothly at dusk.

I would wear long sleeves, long pants, hats and gloves, and cover as much of your faces as you can! Better to look silly than be sorry!

Lovely blue surf today. Keep up the good work, Miss Crystal!

I would be very careful if you are going to spray the wasps Suki as they might wake up and start attacking you.
Make sure you and DH are well covered.
Another way is to spray a strong volume of water at the nest from the hose and knock the nest off if you can. This way you can stand further back at least. Again you might get attacked.
I have been attacked a few times.
Good luck!

Crystal's +6 was 158, still nicely surfing blue. Still cuddly tonight and demanding lap time :). Thanks Peg Wendy, Tricia and Bron for checking in on her day.

Well, we both completely forgot to spray the wasps tonight I only remembered after reading Tricia's post about her bee problem! It's pitch black out there now (we've left the car well away from the house) so will have to leave it until tomorrow night now, drat. Last year we had to have an Asian hornet nest professionally destroyed from the top of one of our oak trees - they are really dangerous and feed off honey bees, so they had to go! Good idea Bron about trying a high power water hose, poor you on being attacked by wasps, nasty.

81 at AMPS, did a double take, and another test to make sure. Only gave her a half dose of R, 7.0u. Never quite know how much R to give when she's under 100, so always err on the side of caution and give half. Looks like last night's little R dose tweak worked, now to keep her there.
