Leo is celebrating his second anniversary after SRT. Two years ago, I drove him to Ft.Collins, Colorado and he got SRT (radiation) for his Acromegaly (pituitary tumor). It was a big trip, expensive but life saving. He is pretty healthy these days. His insulin usage has gone down dramatically: - 36.0 units/day in Sept 2016 -->> SRT week of 9/20/2016 - 4.75 units/day in Sept 2018 I remain eternally grateful for everyone's help here on FDMB. Leo probably would not be here without your help. THANK YOU. Leo's Acro Journey <<<--- link This could be a long thread about his problems. I prefer to look at happy things. - Leo loves cooked chicken - He is best buds with Little Dude, and gives leg loving to everyone - and last week he caught and ate a cricket on the porch, so he loves crickets too Here's to my sweet kitteh Leo. With more luck, and some attentive care, Leo will be with us for months or years to come. A few of my favorite pics from this year.
Happy SRT anniversary young man! May ya'll have many more lovely days like those in the pics ahead of you! Great pics - love the captions!!
Happy Annifursary Leo!!! Keep on keeping on!!! We want you to stick around for a very long time to keep your daddy out of trouble!
I love the two year SRT anniversaries. When I asked at CSU, they said the average life span after SRT was two years, so celebrate beating the odds Leo. Maybe mom and dad will give you a cooked chicken cake.
Congratulations Jeff and Leo!!! And thanks to you Jeff for your contribution to FDMB which has been so helpful to us.
Love this post. So good to see joy in the photos! Congratulations! Wishing you all more years of good health and happiness.
Yay! Always good to see such a good report from Leo and his LB. Keep up the great work, I know both of you appreciate the hard work that has gone into making sure he is well cared for.
Congratulations Leo! What a wonderful update! The difference in those insulin doses is absolutely amazing! Keep up the fantastic work Leo!
Thanks everybody, for the ongoing help and encouragement. Leo would thank you too, but he would have to wake up first. Pic from last night, Leo and Little Dude
