oh dyana. I am so sorry.

Whenever I read your posts I was amazed by the care and love you showed him. You truly had a great bond and I can't believe he has passed on. You couldn't have done more for him and he died at home knowing that he was truly loved.

J.D. is a LL legend, and his light will always shine down. I am sending you endless hugs and prayers.....our hearts are breaking with yours.

Oh, Dyana. I have tears falling onto my keyboard. For you. For J.D.

Such devotion to your boy. Such devotion from him to you. I just don't have the words to share my shock, my hearthurt and how much I wish I could just give you such a huge, big, I-understand hug.

He will always be a part of LL. He will always be a part of you. And he's taking one big, chunk of your heart with him on his journey. And that hurts so much.

Light for healing for you Dyana. And tears, just tears.

J.D. was one of the first condos I ever saw on FDMB, and his story of how you found him and brought him across the country from California was then and still is truly amazing to me! You certainly have been an exemplary caregiver, I am sure JD appreciated and reveled in all of your love and attention. You and Ginger will be in my thoughts and prayers! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

We are so sorry for your loss. Know that you gave J.D. A wonderful life and 20 years is proof of that. We will also light a candle for J.D. He will forever live in your heart.

Oh Dyana...I just saw the title and thought no way, not J.D.! I can not stop the tears. My heart is so broken for you and that sweet boy. I know you are in shock right now and nothing is making any sense or making this pain and hurt any easier.
I wish I could be there with you , but we are all here @LL for you. You are not alone! I will PM you my cell if you need to talk call me anytime. Just typing this seems like not doing enough. I so wish I could make this go away for you. You really were an AMAZING Mama to J. D. !

when you're ready, how about calling a friend to come over? does your vet have an answering service? you could ask them to have your vet call you. if not, maybe call the ER you've taken JD to before?

i'm so sad for you...

I am so sorry for your loss Dyana :( I am relative newbie in LL and even I know J.D. was a very lucky guy. You took amazing care of him. Our furry family members don't get to 20 by accident. Especially with FD. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You came to the right place after such a shock. Hang in there :)

Oh, Dyana....what a shock! I suppose JD didn't want to have you make the decision and took it out of your hands. I am so very sorry..I wish I could be there with you. This is not something you want to have to deal with by yourself. I am there in spirit.

I am in tears right now......

The love and devotion that you gave J.D. was amazing and a true inspiration to all of us. While we can't be there in person, I hope that you can feel the love of your entire LL family. We all love you and are heart broken at the loss of sweet, sweet J.D.


Fly free sweet boy and look for all those from LL who have gone ahead, they are awaiting you at the Rainbow Bridge. You will be truly missed by your momma and all your aunties of LL. Please don't forget to look in on your momma and let her know you arrived safely.

I so wish there was something more I could do for you. All my thoughts, love, hugs and prayers are going out to you right now.

I((((Dyanna)))) I'm speechless as the tears are running down my cheeks. Your love and devotion I'm sure carried him to the other side. He gave you a final gift by going peacefully in his sleep. Call a friend to be with you when you are ready. Lean on someone else for a change. Prayers and hugs to you.

I am so sorry for your loss.

This happened to me once. I went out for a few hours and when I got home, I found my 5-year old cat. He had had a heart attack. It is such a shock to lose them so suddenly.

Oh (((Dyana))), I wish I could reach across the state line and hug you in person. I can't stop crying. I am so so sorry for your pain. J.D. was loved by so many of us. He was truly a legend, here in LL.

Oh so sorry Dyana... There are so many of ours who are waiting for him at the Bridge to show him where to run and chase butterflies. Gosh... he had 20 long years of your love. That's amazing. I know your heart is breaking. I am crying with you. I just love his birthday video!

Please know that I am praying for peace and comfort to come to you through your memories of him - especially of him in his Christmas outfit.

Im so sorry you lost your beloved J.D. I cant imagine what you are feeling. He is at peace now and you will have many wonderful memories to cherish. You did all you could..it was his time to cross over the bridge. Take time to grieve and I wish you peace during this difficult time.

((((Dyana)))) There are some kitties we think will be around forever...because they seem to have always been here. J.D. was one of those. You were one of the best mama's ever. J.D. couldn't have asked for one better. He lived such a full life with so much love. I'm so sorry, not only that he had to go, but that you had to find him by surprise. Know we're all grieving with you.

Oh Dyana,
I had to read least three time the heading of your post till my brain was able to process it.
I always enjoyed to read your posts and I was amazed by your dedication, care and most of all your unconditional love to him. The bond between two of you un – describable. I just can’t stop crying, I wish I know you in person and able to stay with you, I know a little how you feel,
(I lost a brother and sister, a month a part like this last year, they were three years old. They had a breakfast, were happy playful and found them in their bed “sleeping’ 4 hours later. )

My heart goes out to that you will find comfort in knowing how much J.D. loved you and will be waiting for you at the end of the rainbow when you two will once again be reunited. !! Oh, no. I'm so sorry Dyana. He was such a sweet and handsome kitty who loved you so much. He had a beautiful start in life when you found him the hills of California. What a lucky boy he was to have lived his life with you. (((Dyana)))

You asked for help... I hope you won't think I'm being heartless but when something similar happened to me, this is what I did (because the vet was closed.)

I placed my Kayte on a pillow just like you did for J.D. Then I gently brushed her lovely fur and arranged her in a comfortable way so she seemed peaceful and asleep. I also cut a bit of her long fur to save and keep close to me. After I hugged her and rested my head on her sweet face, I wrapped her in a pretty towel and kept her cool on our screen porch. I stayed with her for hours, coming in only to warm up when needed. The next day it was time to take her to my vet. But I was glad I had that night to grieve and hold her as long as I wanted.

Perhaps you can do something similar. Crying and letting the tears fall on J.D. is ok. He will carry those tears of love with him forever.

I am so sorry. I am crying, JD a beautiful kitty who had the best of care for 20yrs. He was and is so loved.
Even though, I haven't been in LL very long, I have looked forward to Jd's condos. I will miss him very much, he looks very much like Michael. The bond between you & JD was extraordinary.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
JD is playing on the rainbow bridge and I know he will send you a sign that he is o.k
LL will deeply miss JD. May he rest in peace.
